ARMENIA: YEREVAN
Solid waste project
In early 2016, GMCS was awarded a consultancy contract by Yerevan Municipality to help to improve
the municipal solid waste management system in Armenia’s capital.
The Yerevan Solid Waste Projects was developed due to the current technical problems and the negative
environmental footprint the city’s waste management currently has.
Main project objective is construction of a new sanitary landfill, and GMCS team is providing
full project implementation support, engineering design services, as well as procurement and contract supervision.
Our team of local and international experts has solid practical experience in the field of solid waste management
and we are confident that successful project implementation will have a significant positive impact for Yerevan’s
citizens and Armenia’s environment generally.
