Water Supply and Wastewater Rehabilitation Project

In early 2017 GMCS-PRAHA s.r.o. won the tender for the Osh Water Supply and Wastewater Rehabilitation Project-Corporate Development, Stakeholder Participation and City Support Program with the respective contract signed in July 2017. This is a collaborative project of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, the City of Osh and the Osh Water Company to improve the municipal water supply service.

Project aims to enhance the institutional capacity of Osh Water Company, enable to strengthen Environmental Health and Safety (“EHS”) management capabilities, develop EHS management systems, and improve stakeholder engagement practices. Achievement of those goals under the supervision of our team will ensure that services provided by our client to Osh community meet EBRD's Performance Requirements.

Official project launch took place in August 2017 when GMCS team met with the Mayor’s office, Water Company and EBRD representatives, held a general discussion of the Project main objectives and approach to its implementation. Informing the public of water metering advantages and promoting respect for water were on the agenda as essential activities under the Project.
